Our Youth Theatre meets weekly for workshops dedicated to learning new skills in acting, performing arts, musical theatre, improvisation, script work, and devising. They also produce youth productions throughout the year.

London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art gives young people the chance to take a first step into the world of Group and Solo Introductory exams to help build technique and learn communication skills and teamwork. LAMDA is designed to support the individual, focussed on improving students' communication and confidence through performance. As well as providing OFQUAL registered qualifications that support higher education.
Students will either be working on duologues or monologues or possibly a combination of both. But most importantly all will be working towards the same LAMDA Grade. These are equivalent to GCSES and ALevels and worth up to 30 UCAS points. These sessions are run by the lovely Hannah Baxter-Eve
Grades 4, 5, 6 & 7 - Tuesday Evenings.

Our Musical Theatre classes explore singing, dancing and acting through song. Working on different shows each term that develop vocal technique and movement whilst having lots of fun learning popular songs and characters from a variety of musicals. Our Director Victoria leads these sessions with Karen assisting.
Junior Musical Theatre (ages 8-12) Wednesdays 4.30-6pm
Senior Musical Theatre 1 (ages 12-15) Wednesdays 6-7.30pm
Senior Musical Theatre 2 (ages 15-18) Wednesdays 7.30-9pm
Our Acting classes provide a wide variety of drama based exploration, from script work to improvisation as well as devising. We vary each term on solo and group work creating short scenes using fun games and acting techniques to improve performance skills. Our Director Victoria leads these classes with Aimee assisting.
Junior Company (ages 7-11) Thursdays 4:30-6pm
Senior Company 1 (ages 11-14) Thursdays 6-7.30pm
Senior Company 2 (ages 15-18) Thursdays 7.30-9pm

We produce high-quality productions throughout the year that provide many performance opportunities for our youth theatre members. From end of term shows, to half term workshop weeks and summer school productions as well as performances to support local events.
As a member of THYT you will have the opportunity to see professional productions throughout the year including our annual tradition of the company Panto Party!
Classes are term time only.
