ABOUT
Established in 1884, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band is one of the UK’s leading brass bands. With a proud history of competition success, it’s won major titles including National and British Open Championships. The band is equally acclaimed on the concert stage, collaborating with Rambert Dance Company, the National Theatre and featuring on BBC’s Songs of Praise and it remains the only brass band with a best-selling children’s story book! In 2024, it celebrated its 140th anniversary, reaffirming its status as a top-ranked band in the World with appearances at the British Open, National Championships and Brass in Concert.
