The Hawth has been at the heart of Crawley’s cultural life since opening its doors in April 1988. Created after Crawley Borough Council approved plans for a new theatre in 1986, the venue was built within a beautiful woodland setting close to the town centre. Since then, it has welcomed audiences from across the region and established itself as one of the South East’s leading destinations for arts and entertainment.

Today, The Hawth presents a lively and varied programme featuring theatre, dance, comedy, live music, family entertainment and community events. Its spaces include the main auditorium, the more intimate Studio and an outdoor amphitheatre, allowing the venue to host everything from major touring productions and West End shows to workshops, emerging artists and local performances. Operated by Parkwood Theatres on behalf of Crawley Borough Council, The Hawth continues to bring people together through memorable shared experiences.
