Theatre Technician
Hours of work: 40 per week (annualised)

Purpose Of The Role
To assist in the running of the Technical Department (and, as required, the building’s maintenance). To assist the Technical & Facilities Manager and Senior Technician. To work on a broad range of incoming and in-house productions, in a variety of job roles within technical theatre. To lead casuals and others as necessary during get-ins/outs etc. To act as Duty Technician where necessary.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate would be proficient in all aspects of technical theatre, including projection and A/V, lighting, sound, flying, get-ins/outs, and rigging. The candidate will also be computer-literate, and able to work with associated software, including Q-Lab. A good knowledge of health and safety is desirable, as is a demonstrable ability in general maintenance. Also desirable would be a knowledge of (or qualification in) electrics. Attitude is important, as enthusiasm to learn and succeed is vital.
