We are enthusiastic about building long-term partnerships with local schools and community groups by creating opportunities for all. We offer a host of resources for students and always seek to tailor what’s offer to suit your specific needs.
For up to date school performance and workshop information, download our latest schools newsletters:
Teacher's resource packs to aid lesson plans and activities before and after performances are available to accompany some productions. More information or links to the packs can be found on the show’s page.
For some productions, workshops are available either at The Hawth or your school. For a list of current workshops available, see the school newsletters.
For some productions, we can offer free previews for teachers, giving the opportunity to see the performance before your school’s visit. Each school is entitled to 2 free tickets. Please contact email@example.com for further details.
Where possible, we can arrange free discussions with performers, writers and directors for the benefit of both students and general audiences. These offer a chance to understand the creative process behind the production and put your questions to the company. For a list of pre and post-show discussions, see the current school newsletters or brochure.
The Hawth offers work placements throughout the year giving students the chance to experience various departments within the theatre. Due to the high demand for a limited number of places, we can unfortunately only consider students studying in Crawley.
Applicants should apply in writing to Jane Grimshaw, The Hawth, Hawth Avenue, Crawley, RH10 6YZ or email firstname.lastname@example.org stating which department and week you are interested in.
Unfortunately, we are not taking work experience students at present.
Flexible reservation periods are available for school bookings. We also offer one free teacher’s ticket for every 10 pupils in your group. To book your tickets, please contact the Box Office on 01293 553636.
