The Playhouse Theatre is available to hire for a variety of events including conferences, corporate and hospitality events and meetings. Our extensive range of services and facilities include:

  • 664 seat auditorium (or 373 seats if only the stalls level is required).
  • Licensed bar and separate coffee/confectionary bar.
  • Full disabled facilities including ramped access to the foyer, low level Box Office counter, wheelchair lift to stalls level, dedicated wheelchair spaces in the auditorium, infra-red hearing system and a dedicated disabled toilet.
  • Extensive advertising opportunities through the Theatre brochure, website and poster sites throughout the town and surrounding region.

The Playhouse Bar

The Playhouse Bar is available to hire for small meetings or parties of up to 100 people. Refreshments and a selection of finger or fork buffets are also available as part of the hire.

Hiring support

In addition to the bar and soft drink facilities a selection of finger or fork buffets can also be provided on site.
