Once a year the Friends of The Playhouse host an Open Day where you can come and take an exclusive look behind the scenes of The Playhouse Theatre. Learn about the History of the building, explore the dressing rooms, and take centre stage!
Tours are in groups of 15 and last around 20-30 minutes, no booking necessary!
Where possible, we can arrange free discussions with performers, writers and directors for the benefit of students. These offer a chance to understand the creative process behind the production and put your questions to the company. Flexible reservation periods are available for school bookings. We also offer one free teacher’s ticket for every 10 pupils in your group. To book your tickets, please contact the Box Office on 01934 645544.

There is street parking available around The Playhouse, which is pay & display and free after 6pm. There is also Grove Park Car Park at the end of the street which is also pay & display but has a reduced rate after 6pm. Ice creams can be pre-ordered for the interval by completing an order form. Some shows offer a ticket and ice cream deal, for more information on this contact the Box Office on 01934 645544.
