• Recognising that all children have the right to freedom from abuse and harm

• Appointing a Designated Safeguarding Lead who takes specific responsibility for children’s and young people’s protection, safety and well-being

• Responding quickly and appropriately to all suspicions or allegations of abuse

• Reviewing the effectiveness of our Protection Policy and Procedures

• Working with external agencies to ensure, as far as is possible, that children/young people are protected

• Ensuring that visiting companies/schools have staff/volunteers with relevant qualifications

• Ensuring that visiting companies/schools have up to date risk assessments if working with young people and children

• Ensuring that visiting companies/schools have up the appropriate licenses in place for performances including young people and children
