Rainbow Monarchs - Talk

6 June 2024
Rainbow Monarchs - Talk

ABOUT

Rob Forknall, from Changeling Theatre, will be giving a fascinating talk at Maidstone Museum on the story of Great Britain’s famous queer monarchs; from Queen Anne, Edward II, Richard the Lionheart, and to the little-known Alefwynn, Queen of Mercia.

Join us for a welcome drink and an hour immersed in court gossip, intriguing politicians, assassinations, glamour and fun, whilst learning new insights about the history that historians have loved to cover up. Rob is an actor, director and amateur historian who has studied history since he was eight years old and specialises in the lives of the Kings and Queens of England.
