SEND Family Fridays – craft days in school Summer holidays.
We have created some SEND friendly craft activities for families with children with SEND and their siblings. This time they are linked to our Greek collection, Local History gallery and Titanic exhibition, with guided and open ended craft opportunities. These sessions will have fewer spaces than our usual sessions and aim to be quieter with more open ended activities. There is a small charge for each child to cover costs but adults are free.

Friday 8 August - Porthole (Titanic themed)

Session 2: 1.30pm - 2.30pm
Ticket sales are through the Hazlitt Box office but events are held at Maidstone Museum.

Suitable for families with SEND children including siblings.
£3.50 per child per session. Adults are free. An adult must stay with child/ren.
The SEND sessions will be in our studio (classroom) which is on the ground floor round the corner from the main reception. For these sessions we will be removing some of the table to allow for more space for wheelchairs etc. There are only 10 child spaces for each session to give more space and a calmer atmosphere for those involved.
SEND family crafts are accessible for children and young people aged 4+ and aimed at both the SEND child and their siblings. Each session is creature themed with a choice of open ended activity or following a set of instructions with a final outcome. A mixture of materials is available for each session.
Opened in 1955, The Hazlitt Theatre offers one of the liveliest and community focused programmes of arts and performance in the south east. The Hazlitt Theatre plays host to a wide variety of comedians, musicians, tributes, dance schools, amature dramatics and local and national performers.
