About This Workshop
Back by popular demand, our kids improv workshop returns to the Maidstone Improv Festival — and if
last year was anything to go by, it's going to be an absolute joy.
Over two hours, children will be guided through the wonderful, laugh-filled world of improvised
performance. Working together as a group, they'll play games, create characters, and build scenes entirely on the spot — no scripts, no lines to learn, just pure spontaneous creativity and plenty of laughter along the way.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is for any child who loves to perform — the ones who are already commandeering the
living room as a stage will absolutely thrive here.
But it's just as brilliant for children who are a little quieter or more reserved. Improv has a remarkable way
of gently drawing children out of their shells, building confidence in a fun and completely pressure-free
environment. There's no right or wrong answer in improv — every idea is a good idea — and that
freedom can be genuinely transformative for kids who might otherwise hold back.
Whether your child is a natural born entertainer or someone who just needs the right space to shine, this
workshop meets them exactly where they are.
