The Tales of Jason and the Golden Fleece

ABOUT
Come and join Weavers Academy and year 5 students from across Wellingborough to celebrate World Music Day with their production of The Tales of Jason and the Golden Fleece. This is a brand new musical play commissioned especially for this performance, that explores some of the ancient Greek stories surrounding the Golden Fleece. Year 5 students across Wellingborough study Ancient Greece, so join them to see how Jason and the Argonauts faired on their epic adventure, meeting the Stymphalian Birds, the Harpies, evading the clashing rocks of Symplegades, and defeating a dragon and stone soldiers. These stories are supported by songs learned as part of the music curriculum and include hits such as Adeles Make You Feel My Love, Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer and Katy Perry's Roar. Songs from a variety of musical theatre productions are also included such as Oliver!, Matilda, and High School Musical.
