About Castle Community Theatre Company. Est 2025
Castle Community Theatre Company was established to celebrate the theatre's milestone 30th birthday and pay homage to its beginnings as a Community Theatre. Moving forward, the aim is to stage a new production every year, while completing the process with just 2 weeks rehearsals, working as a half professional and half community project.
Head of Operations & Community Engagement Martin Cleverley states “We want this to start a new journey for Castle Theatre and hopefully give us the opportunity to put on an annual production using this new theatre company."

With Castle Theatre opening in 1995 with a Community production of Annie, we thought it was only right to pay homage to our humble beginnings with the same show 30 years later. Annie went down very well with audiences and kickstarted Castle Community Theatre Company as a brand new Performance opportunity for local people.

Moving forward to 2026, we really wanted to put on a musical that showed range and diversity from the previous year. Annie was the perfect choice to pay homage to 1995, but we wanted to solidify our place in the community theatre circuit. Shrek the musical was the perfect choice, with extravagant costumes, a fast paced production and a sell out run, it's safe to say we've found our place in the Community.
