Getting Here & Parking

Castle Theatre is located at Castle Way, Wellingborough, NN8 1XA. You can reach us by car, bus or train, making us easily accessible whether you're travelling locally or from further afield.

Yes. There are approximately 100 free parking spaces in the public car park behind the theatre. As parking is limited and not reserved for theatre visitors, we recommend arriving early to secure a space. Blue Badge parking is also available adjacent to the theatre.

Absolutely. We are around a 10-minute walk from the central bus stop on Church Street. Wellingborough railway station is served by direct East Midlands Railway services from London St Pancras in under an hour, with connections to Bedford, Kettering, Market Harborough and Leicester.

Yes. We welcome families throughout the year with a programme of family-friendly performances. We also provide:

  • Free booster seats (subject to availability)
  • Discounted family tickets on selected shows

Accessibility & Inclusion

Yes. We are committed to providing an accessible and enjoyable experience for all visitors. We offer wheelchair spaces, accessible seating, Blue Badge parking, assistance dog access, and support for customers with hidden disabilities. If you have specific access requirements, our Box Office team will be happy to help before your visit.

Our Access Register is designed to support customers with access requirements. Registered customers may be eligible for concession tickets (where available) or a free companion ticket if assistance is required. You can register online via our Individual or Group forms, or request a PDF version from the Box Office.

Wheelchair spaces and accessible seating must be booked by contacting the Box Office directly. We have 12 wheelchair spaces in the Main Theatre and at least 2 in the Studio Theatre, with advance booking strongly recommended.

Yes. We proudly recognise the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme. If you require additional assistance, please let a member of our Front of House team know. We can also provide a Sunflower lanyard for use during your visit.

Yes. We offer downloadable Visual Social Stories to help visitors familiarise themselves with the theatre environment before attending selected performances, making visits more comfortable for those who benefit from visual preparation.

Food, Drinks & Dining

Yes. Enjoy freshly made 12-inch Italian pizzas before most live performances. Pizzas can be pre-booked in advance, and your table will be reserved for you. Drinks, sides and desserts can be purchased on the day.

Yes. Vegan and gluten-free options are available for many pizzas. Simply include your dietary requirements when placing your booking. Full allergen and calorie information is available on request, and our team will be happy to assist with any food allergy enquiries.

Pre-show pizza orders close 45 minutes before the performance. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Yes. Our main foyer bar is open before performances and during intervals, serving a range of drinks and snacks. For selected shows, self-service ordering screens are also available, allowing you to pre-order refreshments for collection before the show or during the interval.

Box Office, Payments & Shop

Our Box Office opens Monday - Saturday 10am - 3pm and on show days opening an hour before the respective performance.

Castle Theatre runs on a strict ‘card only’ policy. Cash will only be accepted by external companies or shows who sell their merchandise at the venue. Please enquire within before the respective show.

Merchandise is available depending on what show is at the venue, please enquire within on the day of the show with our box office.
