The Ian Gillan team is proud to announce that the legendary Deep Purple frontman will be touring the UK in April and May 2027 for his first-ever public speaking engagement: The ‘Talking Gib’rish’ Tour.

This very special series of live speaking events offers a rare opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes stories directly from a true music icon. From his childhood in Hounslow to the global rise of Deep Purple, Ian will reflect on the experiences, music, and outlook on life that shaped one of rock’s most influential, six-decade-spanning careers.

Expect an evening that is candid, humorous, and completely unfiltered.

A Message From Ian:
"I am quivering with anticipation at the prospect of embarking on my first ever public speaking engagements... I'll be covering a lot of ground, from my early days in Hounslow to whatever might have happened on the latest World Tour with my beloved Deep Purple... and maybe something funky in-between.

After 65 years on the road, there will be stories about some of the fascinating and sometimes magical events and people that I've encountered along the trail. It's going to be a blast!"

Ian Gillan’s voice remains one of the most distinctive and celebrated on the global stage. This tour takes you on a journey through an extraordinary musical timeline:

• The Early Years (1962–1965): From joining his first band, The Javelins, to teaming up with Roger Glover in Episode Six and touring with Dusty Springfield.
• The Deep Purple Era (1969–Present): Joining the hard rock pioneers and creating history with legendary tracks like Smoke on the Water from the seminal 1972 album Machine Head.
• Jesus Christ Superstar (1970): Originating the iconic role of Jesus Christ in the original London studio recording for MCA Records.
• Solo & Side Projects: Breaking new ground throughout the '70s and '80s with Gillan, Garth Rockett and the Moonshiners, and Repo Depo.
