Inspiring the next generation of performers through creativity, community and collaboration
The Beck’s Summer Youth Projects (SYP) are a two week masterclass in singing, acting, dancing and design for local 9 - 19 year olds, that take place over the summer holidays.
Our SYPs provide an incredible opportunity for young people in Hayes and Hillingdon to develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork through a fully staged musical production. This exciting initiative brings together aspiring theatremakers to create a show in just two weeks - offering a life-changing experience for many, and skills they can bring with them as they grow.
Summer Youth Projects have been gracing Beck's stage since 1987, and is one of the first of it’s kind. Each year, we see around 100 participants put in 100 hours of work each across two weeks to learn the singing, acting, dancing and design for a Musical Theatre show in an inclusive and educational environment where everyone can contribute and share their skills.
PLEASE NOTE: THE SUMMER YOUTH PROJECT WILL NOT BE GOING AHEAD IN 2026 - We hope to bring this back to the Beck for 2027
