The Case of the Frightened Lady

Building on the phenomenal decade long success of The Agatha Christie Company, which sold over two million tickets around the UK, comes a new thrilling chapter from “the king of the detective thriller”, Edgar Wallace.

When Inspector Tanner is called in to investigate a ruthless murder at Mark’s Priory, the grand ancestral home of the Lebanon family, he quickly discovers that nothing is quite as it seems. As Tanner moves closer to the heart of the mystery he uncovers a shocking and closely guarded secret.

The star cast includes Gray O’Brien, one of TV’s most popular actors, known for his memorable roles in Peak Practice, Casualty and, of course, as Tony Gordon in the ITV soap Coronation Street; Rula Lenska, one of Britain's best-loved actresses, who since her breakthrough in Rock Follies has starred in iconic shows Doctor Who, One Foot In The Grave, EastEnders and comedy series Take A Letter Mr Jones; Denis Lill from long-running drama The Royal and of course Only Fools and Horses; Agatha Christie Company stalwart Ben Nealon from the popular series Soldier Soldier; Philip Lowrie, best known for playing Dennis Tanner in Coronation Street; star of award-winning drama Skins April Pearson and Glenn Carter, widely recognised as the definitive Jesus in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

Edgar Wallace is widely recognised as one of the most popular writers of the 20th century and is celebrated as the brains behind one of the most iconic films of all time, King Kong.
