Front of House - Bar Staff

Type of contract: Casual

Hourly rate: TBC dependent on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hazlitt Theatre Front of House bar team.

Main purpose of the job:

To provide excellent customer service on the bars and during catering events to patrons visiting the venue, assisting the FOH team in the evacuation of the building in the event of an incident. 

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and outgoing, eager to make a difference.

The successful applicant must be numerate and be able to remain calm in a busy environment. Experience in customer service or bar trained would be an asset. 

You must be able to work flexibly, be free to work weekends and have a genuine interest in Theatre and the Arts.

As the role includes bar work we are looking for applications from candidates aged 18+

Role: Youth Theatre Leader 

Grade: JM Junior Manager 

Type of Contract: Maternity Cover

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To plan and lead the Hazlitt Youth Theatre  department, classes/workshops and direct productions.  Also to write, plan and direct any external projects we are asked to do.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Delivering an artistic vision through which young people can express themselves. 

Developing and producing a constant, ongoing and varied selection of workshops, productions and projects to sustain internal and external interest both in the theatre and youth theatre itself.

Directing/producing plays/workshops using people of all abilities and ages and ensuring that the member’s skill base continues to grow and develop, raising their level of confidence and social awareness. Making the workshop space/rehearsal space a safe and fun environment where young people can be themselves.

Front of House Duty Manager

Type of contract: Casual

Hourly rate: £9.95 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hazlitt Theatre Front of House and Bars team as a shift duty manager.

Main purpose of the job:

To Run a shift during a show. Managing the Front of House Team and stepping in to help where needed. Delivering first class customer service, making sure the audience is kept happy and safe and making sure your team does exactly the same. Resolving issues as they arise. Also to liaise with Duty Tech and manage the FOH team in the event of a fire evacuation.

The successful applicant must be numerate and be able to remain calm in a busy environment. Experience in customer service or bar trained would be an asset. Previous employment in a managerial or supervisory position is desirable but not essential.

You must be able to work flexibly, be free to work some weekends and have a genuine interest in Theatre and the Arts.

As the role includes bar work we are looking for applications from candidates aged 18+
