Casual Workshop Assistant      

Grade O1L1

Type of Contract: Casual

Salary: £6.48 - £7.83



To assist in running workshops for the Hazlitt Youth Theatre. Shifts are primarily evenings and weekends; however, some daytime shifts may be required.



To work with the Youth Theatre Leader and the Youth Theatre Assistant to run weekly Hazlitt Youth Theatre workshops.

To assist with Youth Theatre events and productions through the calendar year.

To assist in the running of Educational workshops where necessary.

This Role will also come with the opportunity to work Front of House as one of the Hazlitt Stewards. This is very much a front line, customer facing role, where skills such as communication, politeness and ability to adapt will be required.


Experience in Performing Arts would be desirable. You must be able to work flexibly and have a genuine interest in Theatre and the Arts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hazlitt Theatre Front of House team.


Main purpose of the job:

To provide excellent customer service in the auditorium, bars and during catering events to patrons visiting the venue. Assist in the training of bar staff and keeping a high level of pride in your work and the bar areas. To deal with the upkeep of the bars, cellars and be involved with stock taking.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and outgoing, eager to make a difference and be driven by targets and goals.

The successful applicant must be numerate and be able to remain calm in a busy environment. Experience in a bar is essential. You must be able to work flexibly, be free to work weekends and have a genuine interest in Theatre and the Arts.
